What Is GTA Liberty City Stories About?

GTA Liberty City Stories was a prequel to 2001’s GTA III. It was set in the same location – in Liberty City – and it gives players an insight into the world before they arrive as Claude years later. In GTA Liberty City Stories, gamers assume the role of Tony Cipriani, who was introduced in 2001 when he appeared in GTA III.

However, in GTA III, he’s an accomplished mobster, but Liberty City Stories depicts his rise through the ranks in the ‘Leone’ crime family, fighting off Mafia-based opponents left, right, and centre. It was the first 3D title in the history of GTA to be released on handheld devices, which made it a landmark game for Rockstar, and it was officially the best-selling game to release on PlayStation Portable (PSP).
